Carnivorous Plant Educational Activities Workshops
TIME: 9:30-11:30 AM, Friday, June 2, 2006.
Location: 358 Compton Science Center, FSU.
MAXIMUM ENROLLMENT: 20

FEE: $25.00 (One parent with a kid can be counted for one fee)

Carnivorous Workshop -1 (9:30-10:20 AM)
Carnivorous Plant Crafts and Activities

Presented by Teresa Golembiewski,
University of Wisconsin-Whitewater.

Experience five activities from Ms. Golembiewski's carnivorous plant
course. Make easy craft sundew terraria and Venus flytrap puppets to bring
home! Try out edible butterwort bread! Work with pitcher plant jigsaw
puzzles and learn the bladderwort dance! Receive detailed instructions for
these activities and more. These activities are recommended for use with
students ages 5 through 9.

Carnivorous Workshop -1 (10:30-11:20 AM)
Carnivorous Bog Exploration Activities

Presented by Michael Szesze,
Carnivorous Plant Nursery

Experience the "Characteristics of Bogs and Carnivorous Plants" lab
stations from Mr. Szesze's Carnivorous Plant Activity Book. Also, create
your own carnivorous bog plant terrarium to bring home! All materials,
including a 6 inch rose bowl, soil, Venus flytrap, sundew and pitcher plant
will be provided. These activities are recommended for use with students
ages 8 through adult.
