Special Software Installation Requests & Class Accounts
Special software needed for specific classes
can be installed for student use. Only officially licensed FSU software
will be installed. Proof of license or Public Domain status is required.
The instructor is responsible for contacting the OAC
to request the installation of special software at least three weeks
in advance. Additional time may be needed if software must be ordered
prior to installation. Class software installed at the instructor's
request remains on the network for the duration of the class.
Each computer user must have access to a personal or
class account in order to use lab or personal computers and some FSU
computing services (such as e-mail). If special access accounts are
(or may) be needed, it is the responsibility of the instructor to contact
OAC at least two weeks in advance to arrange the creation of
these accounts.
