Students We Serve

Transfer Students
Students transitioning from other colleges are not as familiar with all the academic options and services at FSU. Our office can help transfer students develop their educational plans by serving as a centralized hub for practical advice about majors, the campus, and all its resources.

Undeclared Freshmen and Sophomores
Lower division, undeclared students are searching for a major that is the best "fit." The sometimes confusing reality, however, is that there is often more than one best fit. We can help students sort through their options.

Students Seeking a New Major
Students who have already declared a major may find that major no longer meets their new goals, but they aren't sure how to either identify or transition into a more appropriate major. We can assist students in identifying the core attraction that drew them to the original major and find it in other potential majors.

The Advising Center serves transfer students and undeclared freshmen and sophomores.
