Program Overview
Students enrolled in FSU's Athletic Training Education Program (ATEP) receive an exciting educational experience. These students take a variety of courses in the physical and biological sciences as well as the courses specifically designed for athletic training.

In addition to the classroom responsibilities, athletic training students participate in extensive clinical affiliations with intercollegiate athletic teams, local high schools, and sports medicine clinics. During these affiliations the student is always under the watchful eye of a certified athletic trainer who guides and shapes the clinical experience.

FSU's Athletic Training Education Program is currently accredited by the Commision on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education (CAATE). Students who graduate from FSU's ATEP are eligible to take the NATA-BOC certification examination to earn the credential "Certified Athletic Trainer" (ATC).
