Checking in at the Center for International Education

Upon arrival as an F-1 or J-1 student, you must report to the Center for International Education, Fuller House, and bring all your travel documents. Each semester there is a mandatory orientation meeting for new international students at FSU. This office is required by the US Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) to have copies of certain documents. It is your responsibility under USCIS regulations to see that Frostburg State University's Center for International Education has the following information at all times during your stay in the United States:

  • Date and place of birth
  • Country of citizenship
  • Local (US) address
  • Status, i.e., full-time or part-time
  • Date of commencement of studies
  • Degree program and field of study
  • Whether you have been certified for practical training, and the beginning and and dates of certification
  • Termination date and reason, if known
  • Copy of your current passport and I-94
  • Photocopy of your I-20 or DS-2019
  • Proof of health insurance
  • The number of credits completed each semester

Again, welcome to Frostburg and we look forward to meeting you. Be sure to stop by for a visit, relax and become familiar with the services we can offer you.
