International Students Home > Financial Issues > Estimated Costs of Attending FSU You must have sufficient money to cover all expenses for yourself and family members accompanying you ($4800 per dependent) while a student at Frostburg State University. All tuition, fees, room and board should be paid by the first day of classes, unless they are billed to a sponsoring government agency or foundation and we have a letter from the sponsor authorizing us to do so. If you are on a Graduate Assistantship or International Fellowship you may arrange to have monthly payroll deductions to pay University fees, tuition, room and board. Graduate Assistants should not expect to receive any stipend until at least the end of the first month of classes. You must be prepared, therefore, to meet your necessary expenses for the first month. The following costs are for full degree (F-1) students. Exchange students who will spend one semester or one year at FSU (J-1 visa) will receive separate instructions for costs from the CIE. Estimated Yearly Expenses 2006-2007 (subject to change):
Please note that these expenses are subject to increase at any time. The student should contact the University for accurate current costs. * Graduate and undergraduate living expenses are estimated at on-campus rates for small single residence hall room and 19-meal/week plan (10-meal/week plan for graduates). Students living off-campus need to be prepared for such additional costs as deposits, utilities, transportation, etc. Graduate costs are estimated based on 30 credit hours and therefore include summer costs. Undergraduate costs are estimated based on twelve months or two semesters. ** "Other" includes books, personal expenses and mandatory health insurance. |
