| About the CIT
The Center for Instructional Technologies (CIT) reflects the transition of traditional university media services to the advancing technologies for instruction. The Center promotes throughout campus emerging technologies and offers faculty opportunities for enhancing teaching and supporting learning in both traditional and distance courses. CIT supports the implementation of distance education courses through interactive classrooms as well as via the World Wide Web. Additionally, CIT provides Blackboard Learning System™ support for students enrolled in online courses.
Carrying forward the grant-funded initiative of the whytech project, CIT provides faculty training and support in a variety of academic technologies. The Center partners with the Center for Teaching Excellence (CTE) to present opportunities to utilize effective technologies, develop learning strategies, and create course designs. Together CTE & CIT promote venues for faculty to share their wealth of teaching experiences.
The CIT always welcomes input from the University community regarding how we can better promote the educational goals and mission of Frostburg State University. Please email cit@frostburg.edu with your input.
