Chairs' Council Proposal re Timeline for evaluation of reassigned time duties - see below

Chairs Council Proposal: In the event that a faculty member's reassigned time duties are evaluated by someone outside the department the evaluation and recommendation for those reassigned time duties are due to the faculty member's department chair by February 20th.

*N.B. Due to time constraints these three items were unable to be properly reviewed by the appropriate committee before recommendation to the Senate (either IPR &/or Graduate Council or the Steering Committee), therefore it is submitted to you as "New Business." This designation simply means that no Standing Committee of the Faculty Senate has reviewed the proposals and has a recommendation to submit to the Senate concerning these proposals. The Senate may elect to consider the proposals anyway (by a 2/3 vote), consider their merits, and make recommendations to the President.

N.B. Please see the Faculty Handbook, p. A-17 for USM policy on Emeritus Faculty appointments and p. A-76 for FSU policy on Emeritus Faculty appointments.
