Patrol Services

In addition to the customary police patrol activities, the University Police are proud to offer these additional services:

• Medical. University officers are Maryland First Responders, a designation above first aid, but below EMT. Patrol vehicles are equipped with full first aid kits, oxygen, and automatic external defibrillators.
  
  
• Motorist Assistance. Motorists who find themselves locked out of their vehicles, needing a jump start, or out of gas will be assisted by the University Police.
  
  
• Risk Management and Special Event Security. The University Police will assist in the planning and staffing of special events to assure the safety of everyone involved.
