  Preview FSU 2008

All new freshmen entering Frostburg State University are expected to attend one of five Preview FSU sessions. Your session date will be assigned to you.

During this time, students will:

  • be tested, for course placement purposes (remember to bring a calculator)
  • meet with an academic advisor to plan course work
  • register for Fall classes
  • become oriented with the FSU campus
  • learn about FSU programs and services

While students are in session, parents are invited to:

  • meet with University faculty and administrators
  • attend presentations on academic affairs, student activities, commuter student issues, residence hall living and much more.

We require freshmen to complete the Academic Advisor Information Form before an orientation date is scheduled.

If you cannot attend one of the five scheduled Preview FSU sessions, please complete the Academic Advisor Information Form anyway and we will send you information regarding the late August session. Also, please email us to let us know.

All freshmen pay an orientation fee which is included in the first semester bill. All students are required to stay on campus during the conference and roommates are randomly selected. All student meals will be provided. Cell phones are not permitted during any meeting or seminar. This applies to both students and parents. Again, in order to receive a reservation for the Preview FSU, you must first complete Academic Advisor Information Form.

We look forward to working with you this summer.
