Internet Explorer 7 & Blackboard Recommendations

For best performance with Blackboard when using Internet Explorer 7, we recommend you add http://blackboard.frostburg.edu as a trusted site, allow pop-ups from http://*.frostburg.edu, and clear out your temporary internet files often.

Add Blackboard as a Trusted Site:

1. Click on Internet Options in the 'Tools Menu' (the 'Tools Menu' has a gear icon)
2. Click on 'Security' tab, then click the 'Trusted Sites' button
3. If necessary, uncheck the Require server verification (https://) box.
4. Type "http://blackboard.frostburg.edu" into the text box and click the 'Add' button

Allow Pop-up's From FSU Web Pages:

1. Click on the 'Tools Menu' (the 'Tools Menu' has a gear icon)
2. Click on 'Pop-up Blocker', then click the 'Pop-up Blocker Settings'
3. Type "http://*.frostburg.edu" into the text field and click the 'Add' button
The final screen should look similar to this screenshot:

Clear Browsing History:

1. Click on Internet Options in the 'Tools Menu' (the 'Tools Menu' has a gear icon)
2. If necessary, click on the 'General' tab
3. Click the 'Delete' button listed under 'Browsing history'
4. Click the 'Delete All' button at the bottom, or choose 'Delete files' at the top if you wish to retain other internet history items.
