Wellness Tip

BAC is short for blood alcohol concentration, or the measurable amount of alcohol that builds up in your bloodstream when you drink more than your liver can process. Normally, the liver can process about one-half ounce of alcohol (one standard drink) in one hour. Drink more than that and the alcohol remains in your system until it can be metabolized: which could take hours. That's right hours.CHILL Wellness Education Page: Alcohol and Your Blood
