A part of CHILL's efforts to promote student and health and wellness includes hosting bio-medical (also known as bio-metric) screenings. During these screenings, students volunteer their time and blood to have their blood pressure, blood sugar, and cholesterol checked.
Should you have any medical based questions about your partipation in these screenings, please contact Nurse Julie Miller at Brady Health Center at 301.687.4301. For general information about the screenings, please contact CHILL at wellness@frostburg.edu
Due to legal requirements, we must first have parental or guardian consent for you to participate in this screening.
Don’t worry—it’s easy to do!
Simply call Brady Health Center at 301.687.4310 and set up an appointment with Nurse Julie. We will make contact with your parent/guardian and get you checked out! Just because you can’t be screened now doesn’t mean you won't get course credit or the CHILL prizes - all will be given to you after your appointment at Brady Health. Be sure to call & set up your appointment ASAP!
Since we are checking student’s blood sugar as a part of the screening, we need to see what your glucose levels are like on an empty stomach.
Don’t worry - you have options!
You can come to another CHILL Screening date.
Keep checking www.frostburg.edu/chill for future events.
