Hug a book Month at the CLC!

The CLC is proud to introduce our latest and most exciting event for spring, as April 2015 will be "Hug a book Month" at the CLC. The most huggable and enchanting events will be later announced to celebrate the success of Scott Campbell's newest publication, "Hug Machine". #hugabookmonth

The CLC would like to congratulate and celebrate the success of Jakob Crane's newest graphic novel. "Lies in the Dust" depiction of the Salem Witch Trials has been awarded the Boston Globe Award! 

 

Reading Cafe

Come join us to read the newest CLC craze, Moon Over Manifest by Clare Vanderpool! The Reading Cafe group will initially meet October 8th at 4 p.m. in Framptom room 205! You will be able to purchase the book this day at a discounted price courtesy of the CLC.

The Children's Literature Centre was created to promote literacy by:

  • Providing a focal point for the study and dissemination of children's literature.
  • Serving as the catalyst for new and innovative approaches to building the foundations of literacy through technology.
  • Developing positive attitudes toward reading through a collaborative network including home, school and community.
  • Working to cultivate an awareness and understanding of current children's literature, authors and illustrators.
  • Building a bridge to cultural understanding through children's literature.
