Children's Literature Centre Fund

To donate to the Children's Literature Fund, please download this form or give online.

This fund was established in the spring of 2000 to support the Centre’s varied activities and programs, including the Spring Festival.  Our goal is to create an endowment that will sustain the Centre long after the present staff departs Frostburg State University. Individuals are encouraged to contribute in the manner and amount he or she feels most comfortable; however, we do recognize donations in specific amounts.  For further information or a pamphlet outlining the contribution levels, contact the Centre staff.

Annetta and Lloyd Marshall

Annetta Hammill Marshall had a passion for teaching, and a passion for children’s literature.  As a teacher in the Allegany County school system for 38 years, and a supervisor of FSU interns, Mrs. Marshall created  many lifelong connections with former students and colleagues.  Her love of literature led to a wonderful friendship with The Children’s Literature Centre. In 2004, she established the Annetta H. and Lloyd M. Marshall Scholarship, to provide registration fees for teacher candidates to attend the annual Spring Festival of Children’s Literature, as well as to support the various endeavors of the Centre.  Her support has been invaluable to the Centre, and her friendship was priceless.   We will honor her legacy by continuing to bring the joy of children’s literature to future generations.

Rae Brodell

In an effort to ensure the continuation of the activities sponsored by the Children’s Literature Centre, Rae and Robert Brodell have established the Rae Brodell Children’s Literature Endowment.  This endowment, established as a tribute to their love of literature, reading, and children, will not only support present activities, but also allow for the development of future endeavors, as the Centre strives to bring the joy of literature into the lives of others.  The endowment has grown and prospered since its conception, due largely to the generous contributions of Centre supporters, as well as the continued support of the Brodells.  We appreciate each and every donation.  Anyone wishing to donate to this fund may do so through the FSU Foundation.

Mary K. Finan
