FSU Leadership Awards 2015
Frequently Asked Questions
What is this all about?
Every year, Frostburg State University says a huge THANK YOU to all the wonderful campus leaders who give so much to FSU, to the local community, and to the world. At the Leadership Awards Reception, people from all over campus join together to celebrate another successful year and what it means to be a Bobcat.
When is the Reception?
The Leadership Awards Reception will take place in the Alice R. Manicur Assembly Hall (ARMAH) in the Lane University Center on Thursday, May 5, 2016 at 6:00 PM. This event is by invitation only. All eligible nominees are invited to join us at the Awards Reception.
Why recognize leadership?
This campus is brimming with inspirational leadership. We love being able to thank our leaders for all that they do and this ceremony is a great way to do that. Nothing says, "We appreciate you!" like a shiny trophy.
Who is eligible to be nominated?
Any student, faculty, or staff member is eligible to be nominated. Some awards, however, have specific qualifications that need to be considered prior to submitting a nomination. Be sure to double check teh award descriptions in the "Award Categories" section.
Can I nominate 2 people for the same award?
Yes! If both people qualify for the award, nominate away!
Can I nominate the same person for 2 awards?
Yes! Again, if the person meets the qualifications for both awards, feel free to nominate them for both.
Can I nominate myself?
Sorry, you may not nominate yourself for any award. We require that another person be able to recommend you and endorse your candidacy.
Who picks the winners?
The Office of Leadership and Experiential Learning has selected a committee of Frostburg's finest staff and faculty members to review the nominations and select winners. Each committee member has demonstrated exceptional leadership and devotion on this campus.
