About RMSC
The Regional Math/Science Center (RMSC) at Frostburg State University (FSU) is a federally-funded program of the US Department of Education. The primary goal of our program is to provide academic support to students and help them develop to their full potential so they will enter and be successful in post-secondary education in the fields of math and/or science. In order to meet our goal, we provide students with many opportunities for growth, including a challenging summer academic program, hands-on field experiences, interactions with mathematicians and scientists, career exploration workshops, study skills workshops, and a variety of other activities.

The RMSC is funded to serve eligible students from the following Maryland counties: Garrett County, Allegany County, Washington County, Baltimore City and the following schools in Frederick County (Gov. Thomas Johnson HS, Frederick HS or Brunswick HS).

The RMSC is completely FREE for all participants!

Students participating in the program attend a three-, five- or six-week summer residential program at Frostburg State University and continue to receive support throughout the academic year. Once a student is accepted into the program he/she is encouraged to continue participating in the program until graduation from high school.
