Academic Probation Programs

Individual Appointments
PASS offers individual appointments for students on academic probation or academic warning. The individual meetings are designed to help students identify difficulties and provide resources to manage academic struggles. Topics covered include self-management, textbook reading, note-taking, and test preparation.

Phoenix Program
Students who earn below a 1.0 cumulative grade point average in their first semester at FSU are placed on conditional probation and are required to participate in the Phoenix program, which is constructed around special sections of our Orientation course. Phoenix courses meet twice a week with the goal of helping students accept personal responsibility and adopt behaviors that will lead to success in not only college, but also life.
