Admission to the play and dinner will be provided by SSS.
Tickets are limited to 15 students so sign up early.

The Glass Menagerie Synopsis
Directed by Guy Stroman
Premiering in Chicago in 1944, Tennessee Williams' first successful play tells the story of Tom Wingfield, his mother Amanda and his sister Laura, who as a shy young woman attracts few suitors, to the chagrin of her mother Amanda. When Tom relents to his mother's requests and brings home Jim, a potential suitor from his job at a local warehouse, Laura learns that he is actually a man she once had a deep affection for as a schoolgirl. The evening involves a furtive kiss, a slow dance, and a broken glass unicorn that comes to symbolize the loss that underscores this aching memory play.

ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENT AWARDS RECEPTION

The SSS office hosts a semiannual academic achievement reception to honor our graduating seniors.

The date and location for the December reception will be Wednesday, December 2, at 4:30 p.m. in the Lane University Center. Alice R. Manicur Assembly Hall, Room 141.
