Qualify
Following
is a list of the Participant Qualifications:
•Possess the desire to attend college
•Be a U.S. Citizen
•Attend high school in Allegany County
•Meet one or both of the following criteria:
1) First generation college status—which means
that parent(s) or adoptive parents do not possess a bachelor's (4 year)
degree
2) Families with modest incomes—which varies according
to household size and is based on taxable income

•Possess post-secondary/college potential
•Be at least 13 years old and have completed the 8th grade; may also be in the 9th or 10th grade
•Demonstrate a need for Upward Bound services
•Have a personal interview with the Directors
