Following is a list of the Participant Qualifications:
1) First generation college status—which means that parent(s) or adoptive parents do not possess a bachelor's (4 year) degree
2) Families with modest incomes—which varies according to household size and is based on taxable income

Possess post-secondary/college potential
Currently in grades 9, 10, and 11 (8th grade students may participate upon grade completion, and students may be accepted until they are 19)
Demonstrate a need for Upward Bound services
Have a personal interview with the Directors
