Action Priorities

1. Seek resource enhancement from both internal and external sources within a framework of responsible resource management.

2. Encourage and support faculty implementation of experiential learning.

3. Encourage and support interdisciplinary learning opportunities across the curriculum.

4. Enhance unit student recruitment and retention plans.

5. Support faculty research, creative activities, and regional engagement activities, especially those involving students.

6. Develop new programs to respond to emerging needs and to workforce shortage areas in Maryland.

7. Support course redesign to achieve greater effectiveness and efficiency.

8. Link unit strategic planning and program review process to resource allocation.
