the Instructor
Dr. Alan Bensley of the Psychology Department in CLAS will conduct both
workshops. Al has been the critical thinking assessment coordinator for
the University for the last seven years and the coordinator of assessment
for the FSU Psychology Department for the last year and a half. He has
served on multiple assessment committees for the university including
those preparing for Middle States reaccreditation. He has authored a textbook
focused on improvement of critical thinking, presented and published scientific
research on assessment of his efforts to improve critical thinking, and
has developed several assessment measures for his department. Perhaps,
most importantly, he is committed to helping FSU faculty showcase the
many effective strategies they already use in their programs and courses.
