MINUTES
The meeting
was called to order and the minutes from the October 19, 2005 meeting
were accepted.
Old Business:
The prior schedule of meetings was amended due to the holiday break
in December. The next meeting was rescheduled for Monday, Dec. 12 at
10AM.

It was moved and seconded to revise and resubmit the proposal
with a proposed FSU syllabus including required elements and
FSU form. Concern was expressed in how the attendance policy
was described in the syllabus presented, and the committee recommends
the attendance policy be stated more clearly in relation to
the grading policy. Motion carried.

It was moved and seconded to accept the proposal contingent
upon rewriting of the course description and determination of

It was moved and seconded to accept the proposal without contingency.

It was moved and seconded to accept the new courses with the
following contingencies: 1) the frequency listing is to be added
to all course descriptions, 2) BIOL 428 needs to be edited to
read 3 hours lecture, 3) the course number and title section
of Request for New Course Approval form needs to be filled in,
and 4) removal of specific reference to Madagascar from the
BIOL 484 course description to allow flexibility of location.

This part of the proposal was pulled by the Biology Department
