Call
to order and introduction of new committee members
The
meeting was convened by Scott Fritz, who introduced the new members.
Election
of a Chair and Secretary for 2005-2006
It
was moved and seconded to elect Scott Fritz to continue as chair,
and Terry Russell to continue as secretary. Motion carried.
Old Business:
Department
of Biology - Dr. Scott Fritz
New
Option -
Pre-Allied Health Professions
It
was moved and seconded to not accept the proposal with the
following recommendations to the Biology Department.
Give
all biology majors the option of taking BIOL 201 and
202 in order to make the programs of comparable rigor.
Create
two tracks within the department, a traditional and
an allied health track, of comparable rigor.
Or,
develop another option to create two tracks or options
of comparable rigor for students graduating with a degree
in biology.
Scott
Fritz abstained. The motion carried.

Change
of Catalog Description/Prerequisite:
1. GEOG 430 Surface Water Hydrology
2. GEOG 432 Groundwater Hydrology
It
was moved and seconded to accept the proposal without contingency.
