The CLAS Assessment Council was formed in fall 2007 to improve student learning assessment within the College, as recommended in the 2006 Middle States Evaluation Report. The Council‘s role is to provide College programs with guidance and feedback on establishing effective student learning assessment plans.
The focus over the last two years has been on helping programs establish workable student learning assessment plans. To meet this goal, the Council collected assessment plans, reviewed them using a standardized checklist, and met with program representatives to provide feedback.
