Global Business Club in the College of Business at Frostburg State University

We would like to invite you to join the ‘Next Generation’ of the Global Business Club in the College of Business at Frostburg State University. Our mission is to embrace the AACSB theme of “Peace through Commerce”. This, we believe, is in line with the mission of the University: One University – a World of Experiences and the College of Business' Global Experiential Learning program. We will meet every Wednesday from 6-7pm in Framptom Rm. 341.

To accomplish our mission:

  • We invite both students and faculty to share their experiences of their cultures and what they might have learned from studying abroad. Through meaningful dialogues, bridges of understanding may be built to further our mission.
  • To deepen the integration between university and community, we will invite guest speakers from the local community who have successfully transitioned their businesses from local to global.
  • In realizing global experiential learning, we will visit institutions that further global integration and economic development.

Please join us and add to the experience of the College of Business at Frostburg State University.

For further information see Dr. Gerald Venezia in Framptom 208A. Phone 301-687-4010.

Maji Shule Festival

The Global Business Club hosted the Maji Shule (Water School) Festival from November 3 - 7, 2014. Jamez Muzinga, Program Officer for the Water School Organization from Uganda, visited and interacted with FSU students in various classrooms and in activities held throughout the week to raise funds for an FSU supported village and school.

The Global Business Club's mission and vision is to bring together the FSU campus and community to actively  engage and raise awareness of the Water School and their sustainable and affordable business model. The benefit to FSU and its various departments in taking part of this event will follow FSU's model of global experiential learning, diversity, promoting cultural enrichment, and sustainability. More information regarding the Water School Organization may be found at http://www.waterschool.com/uganda/.
