Alumni/Student Mentoring Program

The Business Alumni/Student Mentoring Program (BASM) brings students and mentors together to enhance the learning environment through the understanding and experience of mentors. Mentors are FSUBusiness alumni and business people, both from the local area and beyond. Two social events are planned: a kickoff breakfast in October and a luncheon in late April.

Who can participate?
Any FSU student who has declared Business as a major.

How am I matched up with a mentor?
Students fill out a mentor preference form to ensure a good match.

What's in it for me?
Students will gain practical advice on how to make the most of their time in college, as well as one-on-one advice, networking opportunities, expanding the learning experience beyond the classroom, and support on the transition from college to the business world.

But I am so busy...the last thing I need is another commitment!
The program is structured mainly around e-mail and the suggested commitment is 14-16 hours over 8 months (October-May). That's only 2 hours a month in 10-15 minute contacts!
