The mission of Beta Gamma Sigma is to encourage and honor academic achievement in the study of business, to foster personal and professional excellence, to advance the values of the Society, and to serve its lifelong members. Delta Sigma Pi
Delta Sigma Pi is a professional fraternity organized to foster the study of business in universities; to encourage scholarship, social activity and the association of students for their mutual advancement by research and practice; to promote closer affiliation between the commercial world and students of commerce, and to further a higher standard of commercial ethics and culture and the civic and commercial welfare of the community. The Phi Sigma Upsilon colony will be installed as the Omicron Chi chapter of Delta Sigma Pi on April 21, 2007. Delta Sigma Pi is a well-recognized organization with over 200 chapters established nationally and over 200,000 members. The year 2007 is Delta Sigma Pi's centennial year! All FSUBusiness students (undergraduate and MBA) in good academic standing and with at least 12 credits at FSU are eligible for membership during the recruiting period each semester. Members of the FSU Marketing Association become collegiate members of the American Marketing Association's (AMA) Collegiate Organization. As AMA Collegiate Chapter members, students must foster chapter professionalism and cohesiveness. AMA Collegiate membership is available to any/all full-time or part-time student attending a regionally or nationally accredited academic institution of higher learning. AMA Collegiate dues are $35 annually. Membership introduces students to the leading association of marketing professionals at a significantly reduced rate. Omicron Delta Epsilon
Omicron Delta Epsilon recognizes the scholastic attainment and the honoring of outstanding achievements in Economics. The Society establishes close ties between students and faculty in Economics within colleges and universities. The Society also publishes an official journal, The American Economist, as well sponsors panels at professional meetings and competitions. Chapter activities vary widely, ranging
from invited speakers, group discussions, dinners, meetings, and field
trips to special projects such as review sessions and tutoring for
students in economics.
The minimum requirements for admission to Omicron Delta Epsilon are: Completion of 12 semester hours of economics
courses
Attainment of at least a 'B' average in
economics courses and an overall 'B' average (i.e., 3.0)
Students do not have to be economics majors,
but must have a genuine interest in economics in addition to meeting the
above requirements
The minimum requirements may be raised
by local chapters
Graduate students in Economics are judged
solely on their graduate work. They must have completed one semester of
full time work, with attainment of a 'B' or better average.

Students involved in the chapter will be eligible for scholarships, internships, networking, training, jobs, and possibly mentoring. Since the association is national and international, students may attend conferences and meet with professionals outside the University.
