TASTE 2.0 Offical Twitter Hashtag is #fsutaste

The office of Academic Computing & Instructional Technologies, in partnership with Blackboard, Inc. and Daly Computers, Inc., invites the campus community to the TASTE 2.0 conference.

Higher education is changing in ways that reflect a greater focus on Web 2.0 learning, whether through hands-on technology, online learning, or harnessing the power and appeal of social media in the classroom.

TASTE 2.0 is designed to help move our faculty and staff technologically forward to meet the needs of today’s tech-savvy student. It is a two-day conference where ideas and best practices on teaching excellence are shared. Presentations will emphasize technology that is transforming today’s educational experiences and will be facilitated by FSU faculty, staff and vendors.  Registered attendees will have a chance to win some great giveaways including an iPad, Kindle Fire, and more! 

TRACKS:

  • Web 2.0 (e.g., Podcasts, Wikis, Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, Second Life, Google Docs, Voki, Pinterest).
  • Teaching and Learning Technologies (e.g., SMART board, Clickers, Mobile Devices, Blackboard, Power Point, Elluminate).
  • Teaching and Learning Strategies (e.g. rubrics, ice breakers, assessment, motivating students, 1st day activities, etc.)
  • Other

What is Web 2.0?

Applications that allow users to upload, store, create, mix, and share user-generated content online. Whether one is sharing or not, those applications include social media (Facebook, Twitter, blogs, wikis, etc.) online video hosting (e.g., YouTube, Vimeo), and Web applications (e.g., Google Docs, online calendars).
