Mary Mumper, though she began her career as a musician (BS, IUP) always had an interest in science.  After earning a PhD in organic chemistry (UMBC) she taught chemistry at Millersville University of PA before coming to FSU 15 years ago.  She has been the pre-med advisor for the past 14 years at FSU and has worked with hundreds of students in that time.
