Becca Ramspott is a writer and ex-journalist who specializes in creative content, communications and marketing for social media at Frostburg State University. Prior to joining FSU, she spent many years working in both print and online media, holding various positions with business portal Hoovers.com; the Lawrence Journal-World; the School of Fine Arts at the University of Kansas; and the Kemper Museum of Contemporary Art in Kansas City, Mo. In July 2009 she was named FSU's Public Information Specialist: Technology and New Media following her creation of Frostburg: Take 5, an FSU YouTube contest, and Bob E. Cat, FSU's online "personality" and purveyor of school spirit. She is also the founder of FSU's Social Media Group, a campus-wide team of faculty and staff who help direct the University's social media efforts. In recent years, Ramspott has become an educator who has taught workshops on social media marketing, presented at conferences and taken the lead in establishing social media guidelines and other resources for higher education.
