The smart classrooms and two meeting rooms on our main campus use the USM Interactive Video Network (IVN) system. The IVN system is IP based and can connect to compatible systems around the globe.

Library Instruction Center

Library Instruction CenterLibrarians at the Lewis J. Ort Library offer a program of instruction in which students learn effective research methods in a hands-on environment. The focus of library instruction (LI) is to teach students how to find and utilize information and evaluate sources for relevance, reliability and objectivity. At the request of a faculty member, a librarian plans and conducts a session designed for a specific discipline or class assignment. Librarians usually provide customized handouts. Sessions are held in the Library’s Instruction Center. Contact the Library for more information (301-687-4424).
