Web Hosting

Official Unit Web Pages

Frostburg State University provides web space to permit web pages to be created and posted for University divisions, colleges, academic departments, administrative offices or other units and programs (official pages)

All official FSU web pages must be hosted on an official FSU web server maintained by the Office of Academic Computing & Instructional Technologies.
 

Faculty/Staff Personal Pages

Frostburg State University provides web space to house web pages created and posted by FSU faculty and staff.


Requesting Web Space

You must comlete the FSU Web Publisher Agreement Form (pdf) to request web space for an official web page or a faculty or staff web page.

Return the complete form to the FSU Web Services Manager at Pullen Hall 102D (Fax: 301-687-4098).


Scope of Services

The University's web hosting services includes the following:
 

  • Web development account on an FSU web server
  • Web space (directory) on an FSU web server - generally 5 MB for official web sites; 3MB for personal web pages
    The individual or unit requesting the hosting service and web account is responsible for building, publishing and maintaining their web site. (The university web team can assist as needed with official university web sites.)
