begin using the official University web templates.

- Decide which approved University design option
you will use. See the Design

Custom designed home page based on Design Option
1
When you create a custom designed home page, you are required
to use Site Design Option 1 for the other pages in your site.

- Download & install the templates
from the Download Templates
page.
- Go to the appropriate directory and begin
working.
When you downloaded and installed the templates, a set of working directories
and files were created on your computer. The chart below shows which
directory you will go to (based on the design option you chose) to begin
working.

Within the working directory, there's a entirely text
version and a graphics-enhanced version of the University web template
file.
index_text.htm - text version
index_graphic.htm - graphics-enhanced version
Most units will want to use the totally text-based University Web template
file, index_text.htm, to build their web site.
The text-based template file keeps the task of building your site as
simple as possible since it requires no graphics program or web graphic
skills.
