Computer-Based Testing Center (CBT)

The FSU Computer Based Testing Center allows students to complete Educational Testing Service (ETS) based computerized exams on campus. The Center provides a valuable service to community members and students who are required to complete an ETS sponsored test for teacher education, professional certification, and graduate school admission.

The CBT offers Praxis I (Math, Reading, Writing), GRE, and other professional exams (it does not offer the SAT exam). The Center is located in Pullen Hall 105-A. The hours of operation are Monday and Friday 8:00 a.m. to noon and Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Examinees may register by calling the Center at 301-687-7990 (during operating hours) or any time at:

PRAXIS I 800-853-6773 or www.ets.org/praxis
GRE 800-473-2255 or www.ets.org/gre

The Center offers students the opportunity to test locally rather than traveling to the Morgantown or Baltimore areas. The Center is one of only two CBT campus based centers in Maryland.

Please be advised that the Testing Center is open only if there are individuals testing. The Center is closed once testing is completed for that day or if no one was scheduled. The Center's hours are reduced during the summer semester.

Note: If the University is closed due to weather conditions, the Center is also closed. You may call 301-687-4000 (option 2) after 6:00 AM to see if the University has closed due to weather conditions. The University Web site and local radio stations also list University closings after 6:00 AM.
