Fiction Workshop With Richard Weems

August 6 through 9, 2008

at the Gunter Hotel

in Historic Downtown Frostburg

The second annual Nightsun Writers Conference is scheduled to be held at the Gunter Hotel located in historic downtown Frostburg. The conference will feature fictionalist Richard Weems. His workshop has been designed to provide students with individualized attention and feedback to their work as well as to assist students with generating new material for publication.

Students also have the opportunity to meet with Weems for a personal one-on-one consultation to discuss their work.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 


 

 

 

 

 

Richard Weems (www.weemsnet.net) is the author of Anything He Wants, winner of the Spire Fiction Award and finalist for the Eric Hoffer Book Award, and a chapbook of fiction, The Need for Character. His short story publications include North American Review, The Gettysburg Review, Other Voices, The Florida Review, The Mississippi Review, and The Beloit Fiction Journal. He has been both a contributing writer for Pif Magazine and the director of the Creative Writing program of the New Jersey Governor's School of the Arts.
