Mark Gallagher

Clarinetist, Mark Gallagher is an active orchestral and chamber musician. He has performed with the Contemporary Music Forum of Washington, United States Navy Band, Baltimore Chamber Orchestra, New York City Ballet, Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra, Milwaukee Ballet Orchestra, and the Skylight Opera Theatre Orchestra. As a chamber musician, Dr. Gallagher has performed throughout the United States and Europe, including recent concert tours of Norway, Sweden, and Iceland as well as performances in the Netherlands.
Dr. Gallagher's major teachers include Lawrence McDonald, professor emeritus of the Oberlin Conservatory of Music, Alfred Zetzer and Robert Marcellus of the Cleveland Orchestra, D. Stanley Hasty, and professor emeritus at the Eastman School of Music, and Linda Bartley, professor at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

In addition to performing, Dr. Gallagher is an active teacher and clinician, lecturing on occupational health issues for musicians and the Alexander Technique. Currently he is assistant professor of clarinet and music theory at Frostburg State University.

A day of intensive working with a practicing writer and musician.
Opportunity to socialize with other like-minded musicians and writers of a variety of ages and experiences.
