Opportunities for Writers

There are many opportunities in our area for the aspiring writer to get his or her work out there to the public. The Frostburg Center for Creative Writing in conjunction with the 3 AM Society would like to make it easier to do so! Listed below are a few ways to get your work out there.

Bittersweet Magazine is Frostburg State University's student literary and art journal that is published once every spring semester. Bittersweet accepts poetry and short fiction submissions.

The "Make Me Laugh" Story Contest is sponsored by the University Programming Council. It is a contest that is looking for submissions of humorous stories that take place in the Frostburg area. Click here for a pdf file with complete details.
