Career Opportunities

The quality of our growing programs has enabled our students to seek the best postgraduate positions in dozens of graduate programs studying biology, botany and zoology as well as in veterinary, dental, and medical schools. Graduates are employed at the National Institutes of Health, Fort Detrick's Frederick Cancer Research Facility, United States Department of Agriculture, biotechnology firms, and public school systems. Our graduates are employeed within the Maryland Department of Natural Resources, zoos, botanical gardens, environmental education centers and a variety of other positions.

Scholarship Opportunities

We offer many scholarships specific for our majors. 

Many of our programs qualify for In-State Tuition for Out-of-State students through the Academic Common Market.

Our graduate program provides a number of Graduate Assistantships for students.
