2005 clean up activities
Event Report:

  1. Saturday, March 29, 2008: The first spring arboretum work day was a wonderful success! MaryJo Price, with the help of student Daniel Fong, led over 30 students on an amazing removal of Morrow's bush honeysuckle and garlic mustard! What a great turn-out and we hope to see you and your students in the weekends to come from 1-5pm in the arboretum. Thanks so much MaryJo and Daniel!

Some activities in 2007:

  1. Saturday, September 22, 2007: Danny Welsch had about 8 students show up in total. We got a lot of honeysuckle pulled, and most of the existing pile down there chipped. The weather was great, and we had a good time! We quit about 3:00 or so because the students wanted to go to the Appalachian Festival.
  2. Saturday, September 15, 2007: About 20 students participated in the clean up.
  3. Saturday, September 8, 2007: Total 12 people came to the clean up today. We started at noon and ended at 2 pm. We have pulled out a lot of honey suckles and weeds, and we made a big pile. Here we would thank the volunteers: Hongqi Li (leader), Robert Hoffmaster, Steven Darrow, Eniola Olawoye, Elizabeth Dori-Olawoye, Terrence Boyliss, Tim Juchs, Leroy Hodnett, Elizabeth Quimba, Elizabeth (Lisa) Gitelman Qlhemanae, Rob Meshbare, Mark Collier Jr.
