There are two graduate programs in the biological sciences; a Master of Science in Wildlife and Fisheries Biology or Applied Ecology and Conservation Biology. Cooperation with the Appalachian Environmental Laboratory, one of the three research institutes of the Center for Environmental and Estuarine Studies, provides expanded research opportunities.
Career Opportunities
The quality of our growing programs has enabled our students to seek the best postgraduate positions in dozens of graduate programs studying biology, botany and zoology as well as in veterinary, dental, and medical schools. Other graduates are employed at the National Institutes of Health, Fort Detrick's Frederick Cancer Research Facility, United States Department of Agriculture, biotechnology firms, and public school systems.
