Frostburg State University offers a major and minor in Chemistry and a major and minor in Physics with several pathways by which you can earn a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) or a Bachelor of Science (B.S.).

The Department of Chemistry and Physics also supports interdisciplinary programs in Environmental Science and Health Science.

Undergraduate Research

Our chemistry and physics programs focus on active learning and real-world projects at a time when experience is becoming more important to landing that first job. We offer students over 400 hours of hands-on laboratory experience, open-ended projects in many courses, collaborative research projects, and the opportunity for internships. These experiences are valuable when applying for internships, employment, and graduate school.
