The Robert C. Burton Memorial Scholarship

The Department of Economics has established a scholarship in the memory of Dr. Robert C. Burton who passed away on Thursday, March 6, 1997. Professionally, Bob Burton was a mentor and a role model for his younger colleagues; personally, he was a valued friend.

The Robert C. Burton Memorial Scholarship will be a vehicle for one of Bob's most cherished endeavors--helping students to find their way through the sometimes daunting process that we call education. We can think of no more fitting tribute.
