A Note Regarding Standards and Assessment

Program assessment is linked to national and state standards. As such, curriculum alignment and standard mastery is imperative. Linked assessments are found in every course in the program. A capstone Portfolio is compiled during the practicum experiences, providing an archived aligned set of artifacts validating program outcomes. Program revision emanates from assessment data in a circular pattern of standards and assessments.

Licensure Testing

Maryland and surrounding states have varied licensure testing requirements for Administration and Supervision. It is necessary for each candidate to be familiar with one's own needs regarding this component of professional certification. States may change licensure testing requirements from time-to-time, impacting a program of study already in process. It is the candidate's sole responsibility to meet the desired state's standards and to coordinate with the Frostburg State University Administration and Supervision program coordinator any changes in the Study Plan necessitated by regulatory revisions, consistent with the approved degree program.
