Hagerstown Center
The Center currently offers 50 - 60 courses each semester, with approximately one-third of the faculty being full time Hagerstown-based instructors, one-third being part-time local-based adjuncts, and one-third being full-time commuting faculty. (Commuting faculty are based full time in Frostburg and commute either in person or via distance learning.) The administrative staff consists of a director, an assistant to the director, an office manager, a secretary, and a part-time evening clerical. NOTE: The curriculum is restricted by the Maryland Higher Education Commission, which limits the Center to those programs approved for Hagerstown, and by an agreement with the Hagerstown Community which limits HCC to offering courses at the Freshman and Sophomore level and the Center to offering courses at the Junior, Senior and Graduate level.
