MSDE PT3 Catalyst Grant
The mission of the grant is to assure that the next generation of teacher education graduates will effectively demonstrate the ability to plan, deliver, and assess learning/instructional activities that infuse educational computing and technology/literacy into curriculum.
Teacher education programs will provide sufficient curriculum and field experiences for teacher candidates to develop the required technology-related knowledge and skills outlined in the recently developed Maryland Teacher Technology Standards (MTTS).
At the end of the granting period there will be reliable, consistent and credible performance assessments used by Consortium participants to measure technology outcomes of teacher candidates.
By the end of the grant period, teacher candidate portfolios that incorporate performance assessments will be available electronically and begin to serve as a basis for employment decision-making at the regional level.
