MSDE PT3 Catalyst GrantThe mission of the grant is to assure that the next generation of teacher education graduates will effectively demonstrate the ability to plan, deliver, and assess learning/instructional activities that infuse educational computing and technology/literacy into curriculum. Goal 1 Teacher education programs will provide sufficient curriculum and field experiences for teacher candidates to develop the required technology-related knowledge and skills outlined in the recently developed Maryland Teacher Technology Standards (MTTS). Goal 2 At the end of the granting period there will be reliable, consistent and credible performance assessments used by Consortium participants to measure technology outcomes of teacher candidates. Goal 3 By the end of the grant period, teacher candidate portfolios that incorporate performance assessments will be available electronically and begin to serve as a basis for employment decision-making at the regional level.
