SU/FSU PT3 Summer Technology Institute at SU
For five days during the summer, 2001, K-12 teachers, education faculty, and arts and sciences faculty met in teams at Salisbury University to help revise university course syllabi and create individual lessons that integrate technology into teacher candidate learning experiences. The focus was on initial teacher certification programs, including courses in foundations, methods, and field experiences. The MTTS were used to guide course and lesson development. Faculty participants attended as teams of six. Each team had three members from SU and three members from FSU. Each group of three had an education faculty member, an arts or sciences faculty member, and a K-12 teacher. Teams were formed by common content areas or common areas of interest. The team members attended professional development workshops and work sessions for developing technology-rich lessons.
