From writing their own poems, stories and creative non-fiction essays, to meeting with established authors such as Charles Baxter, former poet laureate Billy Collins, and West Virginia poet laureate Irene McKinney, Frostburg State University Creative Writing students get to live the writer's life while working with a dynamic, well published and nationally known Creative Writing faculty that includes Brad Barkley, Andy Duncan and Gerry LaFemina.
Meet publishers and editors at the annual Small Press Festival; work with guest writers each summer at the annual Nightsun Writers Conference; develop your editing skills working on the school's literary journal, Bittersweet; do community outreach via the Center for Creative Writing in downtown Frostburg; and join the conversation about each other's work with the 3 A.M. Society, FSU's club for creative writers. Frostburg Creative Writing--find your stories here.
