Film Studies Minor
The Film Studies Minor at Frostburg State University is designed to foster an appreciation of one of the most dominant and enjoyable art forms of our time: the movies. The Film Studies Minor is interdisciplinary in nature, allowing students to analyze film in a variety of ways. Students in the Film Studies Minor learn critical approaches to viewing films by studying American film, international film, film theory, film history, cultural studies, aesthetics and media. The Film Studies Minor should be of interest to students of any major who wish to enhance their understanding of the cinema.
